The fact that the iPhone 14, particularly the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, are selling well is not a shock. But what may be an unpleasant surprise is that if you order now, your new phone could take weeks to arrive. And that may only get worse thanks to recent lockdowns at Apple’s main production plant in China. If you’ve not placed your iPhone 14 order yet, and are wondering just when you can expect an iPhone to drop through your letterbox, we’ve collected the latest shipping data from Apple’s own website here. That way you can figure out when it’s best to stay at home in case of delivery, or if it will make it in time for an important date like someone’s birthday or your next holiday. As it stands, it looks like pretty much every version of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max is now on backorder until October or early November. It doesn’t matter which color you pick, or how much storage you spec, you’re going to be waiting at least a month for a new Pro iPhone, and perhaps as long as six weeks if you want the bigger iPhone 14 Pro Max variant.
iPhone 14 delivery date: Apple Store
The good news is that ordering the regular iPhone 14 or iPhone 14 Plus won’t be an issue. You can order one now and have it arrive tomorrow, or even today if you live in the right area and are willing to pay extra postage. Meanwhile, the Pro models will keep you waiting up to a month for delivery if you buy one now. If things don’t improve soon, you’ll be needing to put in your iPhone 14 Pro or Pro Max orders now if you want to guarantee delivery before the holidays. You can get Pro models from other retailers much faster (see below). However, the advantage with ordering from Apple is that you can pick any storage option, any carrier and add Apple Care Plus coverage when you order, something which other retailers don’t always guarantee.
iPhone 14 delivery date: AT&T
The iPhone 14 delivery times from AT&T are a little slower than before, but you can get any color sent to you in a couple of days. As can the iPhone 14 Plus. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max can arrive just as quickly if you buy it in Deep Purple or Silver, but that’s the most optimistic estimate. You may have to wait up to a week or longer depending on which color you wish to pick.
iPhone 14 delivery date: T-Mobile
Users looking for a T-Mo-powered iPhone 14 or iPhone 14 Plus will be glad to know the units are ready to go right now, with shipping expected to take between one to three days. The iPhone 14 Pro or Pro Max could arrive just as fast, but beware which color you go for. It’ll take over a month for one to arrive if you pick Silver. T-Mobile has multiple iPhone 14 deals, including up to $800 off with trade-in and signing up for a Magenta Max plan. That’s basically getting an iPhone 14 for free.
iPhone 14 delivery date: Verizon
Verizon’s iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus units will ship out in two days no matter which color you pick. It’s one of the quickest ways to get a non-Pro iPhone 14 right now. The iPhone 14 Pro Max is estimated to arrive by November 9 f you buy the Gold one. The other three colors, and every color of iPhone 14 Pro, won’t arrive until November 18 but it isn’t too much extra waiting to do if you prefer a less glitzy phone. Verizon’s iPhone 14 deals (opens in new tab) include saving up to $800 with you trade in your old phone with select unlimited plans.
iPhone 14 delivery date: Best Buy
Shipping dates from Best Buy are very optimistic, with the majority of iPhones available for delivery tomorrow. For the iPhone 14 at Best Buy (opens in new tab) you can get any color you like within a day. For the iPhone 14 Plus, the most in-demand colors, Purple and Starlight, will be delivered by the 9th and 14th respectively. The rest are also available by tomorrow. You can still get an iPhone 14 Pro model by tomorrow in any color, while you can order the Gold, Space Black or Deep Purple iPhone 14 Pro Max to arrive tomorrow. However, Silver will take another couple of days.
iPhone 14 delivery date: Walmart
Walmart’s selection of iPhone 14 (opens in new tab) models seems to currently be in Limbo. While most versions of the iPhone 14, 14 Plus, 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max are listed as in stock, most don’t have specific arrival dates. We’ll be sure to update you when this changes, but for now be careful if you try to buy any iPhone 14 through Walmart.com.
iPhone 14 delivery date: is it worth the wait?
We like all three of the iPhone 14 models we’ve reviewed so far, although in slightly different ways. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models are definitely the ones to get if you can afford them, because they feature all of Apple’s latest upgrades like an always-on display, Dynamic Island cutout and a 48MP main camera. The iPhone 14 is more like an improved iPhone 13 rather than a whole new phone, but is still worth an upgrade if your current phone’s a couple of years old.
