Announced at Google I/O 2022 today (May 11), the aim of Virtual Cards is to add an extra layer of security when it comes to paying for products you’re buying online. Android and Chrome go some way with this already by automatically filling in your details from a saved payment card in Google Pay. But with Virtual Cards, your card number will be replaced by a distinct virtual number. As a result, you won’t have to manually put in sensitive card details like the CVV number when you check out....

I went hands-on with Street Fighter 6 at Summer Game Fest, and got to try out both control schemes firsthand. The demo was limited in scope, offering only four characters (Luke, Jamie, Ryu, Chun-Li), two stages, and a 1v1 player vs. CPU mode. Apple reported that out of the $83 billion total revenue that the company posted for Q3, iPhone revenue accounted for almost 50% of that. Apple CEO Tim Cook cited supply chain constraints and unfavorable foreign exchange for the poor performance of Mac, iPad and wearables. Mac revenues were down 10% and although iPad managed to exceed analysts expectations, the category was also hit by supply shortages.
