Netflix cancels a lot of shows. Just a few months into 2022 and the streamer has already axed half a dozen original series; it’s why subscribers know not to get too attached. But while there’s usually a degree of inevitability about a Netflix cancelation, the latest show on the chopping block comes as quite a shock. Deadline (opens in new tab) reports that Netflix has canceled Archive 81 after just a single season....

“Sadly, yes, Netflix have cancelled this,” wrote Joe Barton, the series’ creator, in response to a tweet from the show’s UK producer, Imaginarium. “Very proud of it and really liked the people I got to make it with. Sorry not to be able to finish the story…" That story was based on Sally Green’s YA fantasy novel Half Bad. The Netflix version tells the story of Nathan Byrne, the illegitimate son of the “World’s Most Dangerous Blood Witch” who becomes friends with a new classmate Annalise....

Luckily, good things come to those who wait. 9to5Google (opens in new tab) has reported on a leak from Droid-Life (opens in new tab) that shows off hands-on action with the new bands. Specifically, they managed to snag two colorways of the “Active” bands for the Pixel Watch, which are the default, sportier bands for the smartwatch. The first big reveal: the price. Droid-Life says they paid $49 each for the two bands they went hands-on with, so it may be fair to guess that the official price will be the same....

That’s not good for the Galaxy S22 Plus, which is tipped to be $1,099, or the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which is predicted to cost a whopping $1,299. But it would look especially bad if the Galaxy S22 winds up costing $899. That $899 price would be problematic for a number of reasons, staring with the fact that the iPhone 13 starts at $799. So being $100 more expensive than both last year’s Samsung Galaxy S21 and Apple’s flagship is not a good start....

But one persistent complaint has followed all three versions: battery life. Each phone so far has packed two batteries (one in each half) with a combined power of 3,300mAh.
