Two weeks ago, Samsung seemed set on simplifying its smartwatch line with the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5. There would be no Galaxy Watch 5 Classic, and we’d instead be treated to a regular and Pro model. At the time, I wrote that this was likely to simply be a branding exercise and the rotating bezel — a fan favorite feature and Samsung USP — would likely be safe. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4’s performance could blow past not just the Galaxy Z Flip 3, but also the Samsung Galaxy S22 series, based on benchmarks spotted by leaker Ice Universe (opens in new tab). Those benchmarks, taken from the CPU-stressing Geekbench 5, are for an Android 12 phone named “samsung SM-F721U,” running an unnamed ARM-based CPU. Ice Universe asserts that this phone is the Z Flip 4, and that chipset is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus, something that we’ve heard rumored before as powering Samsung’s new foldables, including the Galaxy Z Fold 4....

Ice Universe took to Twitter to post a list of Galaxy Z Fold 4 specs (opens in new tab), covering everything from the chipset powering the foldable phone to the battery size and charging speed Samsung allegedly has planned. How confident is Ice Universe in this info. The specs are “100% accurate,” the leaker said. The list of specs more or less matches a similar Galaxy Z Fold 4 report earlier this week, when Yogesh Brar posted expected specs for the upcoming foldable....
