We finally have a launch date for the latest foldable smartphone — but it’s the Motorola Razr 2022. In a post to its official Weibo (opens in new tab) account, the Chinese phone manufacturer announced that its latest foldable device will be unveiled on August 2. But that was not the only big announcement from Motorola. The post suggests that the Razr 2022 will be one of two flagship phones for Motorola....

On August 1, Netflix will remove Friday Night Lights from its library. The popular sports drama series follows a high school football team in the fictional town of Dillon, Texas. Its ensemble cast was led by Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton, and it ran for 76 episodes across five seasons between 2006 and 2011. Its removal is rather surprising considering it was only added to Netflix U.S. last year. On the same date, as previously reported, 30 Rock will leave Netflix....

Business Insider (opens in new tab) reports that Netflix has entered a bidding war with NBCUniversal and ESPN to land the rights to stream F1 races from 2023. ESPN obtained the U.S. rights to F1 streaming in 2017, whereas NBCUniversal held them for the five years prior. Netflix’s competitors having an established history with F1 might suggest that the streamer is at a disadvantage in these negotiations, but the streamer has done a remarkable job raising the profile of the sport in recent years....

But unlike the drama, which features Evan Peter in the title role, this is a pure documentary featuring interviews with Dahmer himself — alongside attorneys, experts, journalists and other people involved in the case. Like other instalments of Netflix’s ‘Conversations With A Killer’ collection, this is a three-part docuseries designed to offer a glimpse into the mind of a killer....

Rumors surrounding the Apple M2 chip have been plentiful. As the successor to the M1 line, it’s not unreasonable to assume that the M2 would be more powerful. However, the latest rumors hint at a minor upgrade at best for the next generation of Apple silicon. According to Apple leaker Ming-Chi Kuo (opens in new tab) (via MacRumors (opens in new tab)), we may see the first M2 chips appear in the next iterations of the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models....

Though from the purported specs, leaked by Digital Chat Station on the Chinese social network Weibo (opens in new tab), it sounds like the new handset could be a big upgrade from the excellent OnePlus Nord 2. The leaker states that the firm’s next phone will feature the Dimensity 8100 chipset, backed by 12GB RAM and a 4,500 mAh battery. It will apparently be significantly bigger, with a 6.7-inch 1080 x 2412 display far exceeding the Nord 2’s 6....

They’ll be joined by a new cast member, Paul Rudd, who made a surprise cameo at the end of the season 2 finale as actor Ben Glenroy. Only Murders in the Building made an unlikely team out of a retired actor, a failed Broadway director and an aimless young woman. The first season was the most-watched original comedy in Hulu’s history and earned 14 Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Series....

9to5Google (opens in new tab) believes it has the answer to the latter, and it’s not good news. It’s long been rumored that the Pixel Watch will use a Samsung Exynos chip, but according to the site’s sources, it’s not the one you would expect. Rather than using the 5nm Exynos W920 chip which debuted in 2021’s Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, the Pixel Watch will apparently use the 10nm Exynos 9110, which first appeared on wrists in 2018’s original Galaxy Watch....

That said, the Pluto TV Stargate channel will soon let audiences binge-watch all the Stargate they want, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. That will begin with the 1994 film (Stargate), and also include the 2008 films Stargate: The Ark of Truth and Stargate: Continuum. In terms of TV shows, things are more fragmented. Pluto will get only half of Stargate SG-1, with the first half of the series, seasons 1 through 5 (the Showtime seasons....

According to a new Bloomberg (opens in new tab) report, Sony had initially planned to cease production of the PS4 last year but has reserved that decision and will instead continue to manufacture the console through 2022. It’s expected that around one million PS4 consoles will be produced this year in an effort to ease some of the pressure on PS5 production. It’s believed that producing more PS4 consoles will also enable Sony to negotiate better deals with its manufacturing partners in turn making PS5 production run smoother....

The new release, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR2 Gen 1, is the company’s first purpose-built platform for AR headgear. Qualcomm’s previous efforts in this space have focused on mixed reality with chipsets such as the Snapdragon XR 2 Gen 1 powering the Meta Quest 2 headset while the more recent Snapdragon XR 2 Plus Gen 1 is going to be the driving force behind the upcoming Meta Quest Pro. The Snapdragon AR2 Gen 1 revealed today (November 16) at the company’s annual Snapdragon Summit is different, though....

The 2200 is a new 4-nanometer chip that’s just been announced by Samsung (opens in new tab), and has already entered mass production. Its capabilities are similar to those of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, but the differences could have a big impact on the two versions of the Galaxy S22. The tests are for phones code-named SM-S908B (opens in new tab) and SM-S901U (opens in new tab), which are believed to be the Exynos and Snapdragon versions of the S22, respectively. You can tell that 901U is using a Snapdragon chip since the results show its eight cores are arranged into groups of 4, 3 and 1, a trademark of Qualcomm design. The S908B uses two groups of four cores instead, which therefore points to a different chip, with the Exynos 2200 being the most obvious option....

A reliable tech tipster has claimed the Samsung Galaxy S23 may not get the latest camera sensor from the South Korean electronics giant, but if older rumors hold up, then we could still see a big upgrade when the phone arrives.
